Erik is a highly accomplished life-sciences entrepreneur with more than 15 years of entrepreneurial experience. He studied Business Management at Virginia Tech University and holds a Master of Science in Innovation & Industrial Management from Gothenburg University. Honors include Forbes 30 Under 30, MIT Review 35 Under 35, Prince Daniel’s Fellowship Alumni, Innovator of the Year 2016, The Medicine Maker Power List 100 2018, Entrepreneur of the Year 2019, and SvD Business Builder of the Year 2020. Co-founder of BICO and CEO and President of BICO, 2016-2023. Erik’s newest venture, Crownegate, invests in small, technology heavy startups in a wide range of industries. Hector has a background in mechanical engineering and a PhD in tissue engineering from Chalmers University. Hector’s strong academic background combined with passion for novel technologies was a perfect match with Erik’s commercial and entrepreneurial spirit, setting the two founders on a course for success.
