SUMMARY:Excursion to Tor Alva – the world’s tallest 3D-printed tower
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special excursion to Mulegns, Graubünden, on 31 May 2026.\nFollowing the inspiring presentation by Benjamin Dillenburger in November 2025, where he first introduced our members to the Tor Alva project, we now offer you the exclusive opportunity to visit the tower on site.\nOur visit will commence at the Post Hotel Löwe with welcome addresses by Giovanni Netzer, founder of the Origen Foundation ( http://(https://origen.ch/) ), and Benjamin Dillenburger.\nFollowing the introductions, we will tour the Weisse Villa. This listed historical building, once the home of a renowned confectioner, was spectacularly relocated by the Origen Foundation in 2020 to save it from road expansion, preserving the rich legacy of the region’s confectioners.\nNext, we will attend an exhibition housed in the Remise, the stately carriage house belonging to the Hotel Löwe, which dates back to the turn of the 20th century.\nThe tour will conclude with a visit to Tor Alva, the world’s tallest 3D-printed tower, which was designed by ETH Professor of Digital Building Technologies Benjamin Dillenburger and architect Michael Hansmeyer.\nWe will then return to the Post Hotel Löwe to conclude our visit with lunch.\nDon’t miss this opportunity to experience Tor Alva in person, and learn more about the inspiring work of the Origen Foundation in revitalising rural areas through celebration of heritage, support for contemporary art and culture, and a devotion to bold architectural projects.\nGetting there\nPlease note the departure from Zürich HB at 8:07, with transfers in Chur and Thusis, arrival in Mulegns at 10:46.\nSee travel plans from Zurich here: sbb.ch\nImportant: If you are traveling by car, do let us know ASAP as there are limited parkings spaces at Hotel Löwe.\n
